Abstract Submission Rules and Guidelines

Presentation Types: Abstracts may be submitted for:

  • MAIN SCIENTIFIC SESSION: For consultants with an exit qualification
  • NEXTGEN SESSION: For residents/trainees
  • POSTER COMPETITION: Open to both consultants and residents

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

Before You Begin:

Prepare the following information:

  • CORRESPONDING AUTHOR DETAILS (Full Name, Department & Institutional Affiliation, Corresponding address, Email and Contact number)
  • Author and co-authors’ details
  • Font: Font should be Times new roman / Calibri and size should be 10
  • Preferred presentation type (oral, e-poster, poster/e-poster viewing only)
  • Abstract title (in UPPER CASE, limited to 25 words)
  • Abstract text (limited to 400 words, including acknowledgments)
  • Abstract topic (select from the list of topics)

Abstract Structure:

For original Research/ Trials, The abstract must be structured into the following headings:

  • Objective(s)
  • Study Methodology
  • Results
  • Conclusions

Additional Requirements:

  • Define abbreviations
  • Use generic names of drugs
  • Ensure a balanced presentation with no commercial or promotional content
  • Remove patient names, hospital ID numbers, and other identifying information
  • Check for spelling, grammatical, and scientific errors

Submission Process:

The main presentation/poster should include key learning objectives in the start, and take home message/s at the end. Please email the abstract with the required information mentioned above to scientific@pcoms.com.pk and ‘cc’ to abstract.pcoms2025@gmail .com.
